I like to mix fresh or canned fruit, lime juice and sherbet (and sometimes ice cream).  Delicious results!
Always satisfies the proverbial sweet tooth.Â

I purchased Persian limes because they’re affordable and taste very much like Key limes (my opinion).
What’s the difference between Key limes and Persian limes?
According to TheTastingTable.com, Key limes are smaller and contain more seeds than Persian limes.Â
Key limes, also known as Mexican or West Indian limes, are more aromatic, with a very tart and floral juice.
Key limes were grown commercially in the Florida Keys until a hurricane almost wiped them out in the 1920s.Â
Farmers replaced the fragrant fruit with larger, seedless Persian limes that are popular in U.S. grocery stores and farmers markets.
Persian lime sliced in half.
The skin on Persian limes is thick and bright green. The skin on Key limes is thin and slightly yellow.
To get 1/2 cup of fresh lime juice, must squeeze at least Persian limes and about 20 Key limes.
