MY INSPIRATION
The inspiration for this recipe started early one morning when I needed a hearty breakfast before editing a series of recipe videos. I can concentrate better after eating.
No stomach growls (laugh)!
After a quick brainstorm, I decided to combine two favorites: French toast and sausage. Using available ingredients, I whipped up a French Toast Breakfast Sandwich for breakfast.

Restaurants serve French toast with butter (not margarine), maple syrup and powdered sugar. The possibilities are endless. French toast can be topped with just about anything.

SERVING SUGGESTION

- In a pie plate (or similar dish), combine eggs, vanilla, milk, ground cinnamon (if using), black pepper (if using), and salt (if using).

- Turn heat off.
- Use spatula to move French toast from skillet to plate. Place two cooked sausage patties on one slice. Top with second slice.
- Drizzle sandwich with honey. Sprinkle with powdered sugar (optional). Serve hot.
