Great with barbecue, burgers, fried chicken, and hotdogs. Sweet and tangy. Avocado adds a creamy texture and makes a pretty presentation. Very easy to make. Enjoy!
The fresh avocado adds creaminess without changing
the taste. Also makes a pretty presentation.
4 cups cabbage, shredded
1/2 cup carrots, shredded
3/4 cup mayonnaise
1/3 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons vinegar
3 tablespoons sugar, divided*
3/4 teaspoon seasoning salt
1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
1/4 teaspoon celery seed (optional)
1/4 teaspoon poppy seed (optional)
4 avocadoes, sliced (optional)
Mix cabbage and carrots in large bowl. Set aside. Mix remaining ingredients in a small bowl. Pour over cabbage and carrots.
Mix well. Cover and chill at least 1 hour before serving.
Place scoops of coleslaw in a sliced avocado if desired.
Add sugar sparingly. Taste. Repeat until satisfied.
